SPRINGFIELD – Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr will be the featured speaker at the 2024 Veterans Day observance at Veterans Park of Effingham County.

Re-elected twice since being appointed attorney general by former Gov. Nathan Deal in 2016, Carr has shown a strong commitment to supporting military and veteran communities through initiatives such as Military Consumer Protection Month.

The ceremony, slated Nov. 11 at 11 a.m., will also include a parade of colors, remarks from local dignitaries, patriotic music and the recognition of veterans in attendance.

Veterans Park was built to honor the men and women of Effingham County who served on active duty from the Revolutionary War through today. It is located at the corner of First Street and GA Hwy 21 across from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.
