A meeting of citizens concerned about government in Effingham County will be held Thursday at the Effingham County administrative complex at 7 p.m. The group is responding to interest shown at the county commissioners’ Aug. 4 meeting.

A group spokesman said they are not on a “witch hunt” but said the public must take responsibility to know how their tax dollars are spent and must become involved when decisions are made.
