Candidates Jason Bragg and Walt Lawson will have to wait several more days to find out if their bids to become Effingham County's clerk of Superior Court was successful.
After ballot counting concluded Tuesday night, Bragg led Lawson by a mere 28 votes.
"We will get a final count on Monday after provisionals and military(ballots) are added in to the count and certify the official results by (April 19) at the earliest and (April 21) at the latest," Effingham County Director of Elections Olivia Morgan said Wednesday afternoon.
Bragg had 2,877 votes Tuesday. Lawson had 2,849.
