Council turns down Collins' appeal

Rincon City Council members voted 6-0 Tuesday night to deny the appeal of fired Rincon Police Detective Scott Collins.

Collins, who was terminated in September after he was overheard making a disparaging remark following a meeting in which the police officers were asked to work together in the wake of then-Chief Michael Berry being placed on administrative leave.
