Effingham County Sheriff's deputies have arrested three juveniles in connection with a bomb threat hoax Tuesday afternoon at Ebenezer Middle School.

At approximately 3:15, school officials contacted the ECSO indicating a student told someone at the school that a bomb had been placed underneath a bus on the school campus. The school was placed on lockdown after the threat was reported.

Bomb-detecting canines were called in, and no device was found.

Sheriff's investigators have charged a 14-year-old student with terroristic threats and disrupting a public school. Two other 14-year-olds were charged with disrupting a public school.

All three juveniles were turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
