The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who robbed two people at gunpoint at a Springfield mobile home park Thursday afternoon.

A slender, black male wearing a ski mask and a blue hoodie-style sweatshirt walked into the leasing office at Quail Run Estates on Standard Lane shortly after 12 noon, according to the two female employees who were robbed.

The man pointed a silver handgun at them and demanded money, the women told ECSO investigators.

“The suspect took a purse and fled into a nearby wooded area,” said ECSO spokesman Detective David Ehsanipoor. “Effingham County deputies searched the area throughout the day and continue to increase patrols in the area.”
