Church vandals both plead guilty

Two men accused of defacing area churches in a crime spree last year have pled guilty to several counts in connection with the incidents.

Kyle Andrew Cundiff and Christopher Richard West each pled guilty to three counts of burglary, two counts of criminal damage to property and two counts of vandalism to a place of worship. Cundiff and West have been sentenced yet.

Cundiff and West were indicted last year for their spree that began with breaking into Countryside Baptist Church on Highway 30 on Sept. 3. Cundiff and West knocked over the pulpit, broke a stain glass window and damaged sound equipment.

They also are charged with breaking into Living Faith Church of God and shooting the walls and office with a shotgun, and also damaging sound equipment there.

Cundiff and West were charged with burglary for entering Berea Southern Methodist Church.
