The Effingham County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a body found in a wooded area behind Edwards Loop in northern Effingham County.

The body has been identified as Horace Wallace, 56, of Clyo. Authorities do not believe foul play was a factor in Wallace's death.
