Effingham County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested two burglary suspects after they were located at a motel in Rincon on Thursday morning.

Christopher Parnell Jr., 20, of Rincon, and Feather Dawn Parnell, 19, of Rincon were found inside a room at the Days Inn during a search by investigators.

Deputies believe both individuals are responsible for a burglary at the Auto Shine on Highway 21 south this past weekend. The suspects forced their way into the business and took an undisclosed amount of money, investigators said.

Christopher Parnell and Feather Dawn Parnell have both been charged with commercial burglary.

During a search of the motel room, deputies also found marijuana. Deputies are currently investigating the incident and believe the suspects may be involved in additional crimes including a robbery in South Carolina.

“Additional charges are pending as this is an ongoing investigation,” said  ECSO spokesman Detective David Ehsanipoor.

The Rincon Police Department assisted the ECSO in the arrests.

Feather and Christopher Parnell both are currently being held in the Effingham County Jail.
