Troopers from the Rincon post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 11 traffic crashes during December in Effingham County.

Sgt. 1st Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 12 injuries.

Riner said troopers from Post 42 issued 293 traffic citations in the county during the month. That includes six arrests for driving under the influence, 83 citations for speeding, 116 seat belt violations and four child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 284 warnings.
