SPRINGFIELD -- Old Glory and a vivid spirit of appreciation proudly waved at Veterans Park of Effingham County on Saturday. About 125 people braved breezy, chilly weather to observe Veterans Day. Effingham County Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie set the tone for the occasion during his welcoming remarks.
