CSX will close the railroad crossing at West 15th Street in Rincon on March 5th.

 This crossing is at the only entrance to a subdivision and will cause a disruption.

 The closing was originally set Tuesday but has since changed to March 5 at 2 p.m.until approximately 6 a.m. March 6. 

In an abundance of caution, city leaders have arranged a police officer and a cross trained fire fighter/paramedic to remain inside the neighborhood during those hours. EMS has been alerted to the situation as well.

 When the crossing is closed, there can be no vehicle traffic in or out of the neighborhood. The city has arranged for a shuttle inside the neighborhood and is encouraging people to car pool as much as possible to cut down on the parking situation outside of the neighborhood.
