Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation will use lane closures on SR 21 north and southbound lanes in Port Wentworth Monday through Friday of next week to complete grading on the outside shoulders and median within these areas and to place concrete for the concrete islands located at the intersections of SR 21 and the I-95 entrance and exit ramps.

This shift is scheduled daily for northbound from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and southbound 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

This is a work zone and extreme caution is necessary.

Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this and all work zones. Message signs, barrels and/or cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes.

Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.
