Portuguese electrical components manufacturer EFACEC is eyeing an October groundbreaking for its planned Effingham County facility, according to the Effingham Industrial Development Authority.
EFACEC will be moving into the Effingham Industrial Park at the intersection of Highways 21 and 275. Company representatives will have a preconstruction meeting next week.
Initial work on the site could start in September, Effingham IDA CEO John Henry said, but the ceremonial groundbreaking may not take place until October to accommodate the schedules of company officials and Portuguese dignitaries.
