Effingham Hospital preparing for Renfros commemorative history

The Effingham Hospital Board of Trustees will host a book signing and reception Nov. 7 to unveil “Medicine in Effingham County 1734-2009.”

The book, being written by Betty Renfro, is being authored in conjunction with the hospital’s 40th anniversary. Employees will receive a copy of the publication as a gift during the 40th anniversary year.

The Trustees expressed their appreciation to all present and past hospital authority members, medical staff members and employees for their service for the past 40 years.

Friends of Manna House is fundraising in August to renovate the busy food pantry parking lot. The community is invited to shop donated décor and support the project.
