RINCON — Effingham Living, a sister publication of the Effingham Herald, plans to shine a light on the county’s leading professionals under the age of 40.

The magazine is accepting nominations from individuals and businesses for its “20 Under 40 Awards.” The deadline is 5 p.m. on Dec. 21.

“Effingham County is growing by leaps and bounds and it’s important that we recognize our future leaders,” said Kim Dennis, general manager of Effingham Living and the Herald. “We went to encourage them to continue to be involved in the community as they grow.”

Nominees must be under 40 years old as of Jan. 1, 2021. Selections will be made based on merit, professional success and community involvement.

“This isn’t a contest,” Dennis said. “It’s a recognition award. We hope this will encourage more people to get involved in the community.”

Selections will be published in Effingham Living’s January issue. Go to https://effinghamherald.secondstreetapp.com/efflivingtop20under40/ to nominate your choice.
