Springfield – The Effingham Chamber of Commerce announced its annual Eggs and Issues Review Breakfast, scheduled for Wednesday, April 19 at 7:30 a.m. at the Effingham College and Career Academy on Hwy. 21 in Rincon.

This breakfast is presented by Vision Financial.

The annual event is an opportunity to visit with our State Legislators and hear their responses to current issues and questions concerning Effingham County.

State Senator Jack Hill and State Representatives, Jon Burns and Bill Hitchens will be in attendance and will address the audience and answer questions following a delicious breakfast prepared by Kafe 17.

Please join us for a panel discussion with State Senator Jack Hill, State Representative Jon Burns and State Representative Bill Hitchens.

The Chamber’s Legislative Affairs committee prepared a list of issues for the Elected Officials involving funding for transportation, education, healthcare, support for economic development and how the 2017 session of the Georgia General Assembly could affect our community.

“We expect a great turnout for this event,” Chamber President, Dr. Barbara Prosser, said. “Last year we had over 80 attendees at the Breakfast and we expect a great turnout again on April 19th. We appreciate our friends at Vision Financial sponsoring this great event.”

Chamber members have been asked to submit questions for the legislative team and attendees will also be invited to submit their written questions to the program’s moderator who will direct them to our panel of elected officials.

The Chamber asks that reservations be made by Monday, April 13 so the meal count can be made. Please contact the chamber by telephone or by email. Call 754-3301 or email to: ricklott@effinghamcounty.com. Breakfast cost is $12 for Chamber members and $15 for visitors.
