Family Connection Focus: Ready2CONNECT offers a path to independence

RINCON — Ready2CONNECT (R2C) offers tools to help people become financially independent.

Located at 711 Zitterour Drive, R2C is a career and family empowerment center that assists individuals and families who are unemployed or underemployed. Participants who have committed themselves will leave the program with a sense of hope and confidence.

The Career Center is open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday.

In addition to career readiness, R2C provides access to self-development programs that help participants succeed. GED and literacy programs are also available.

Through funds donated by local churches, organizations and community supporters, R2C’s also supports the Hope for Everyone Looking for Provisions (H.E.L.P.) program provides financial resources to families as they strive to reach their goals.

Participants who utilize H.E.L.P. must commit to attending career and financial wellness workshops offered by CONNECT and its partnering organizations.

“Through individualized case management, we offer a navigation tool,” Bradshaw told the Effingham Herald recently. “In many cases, people just need a place to go to work things out. The orientation into the program is very important because the see that they are not alone.”
