GUYTON, Ga. — A Guyton woman has been arrested and charged with murder following a death investigation Tuesday.
Around 3:38 p.m. Aug. 19, Guyton police responded to a call at 507 Pine St., where officers found a deceased white male. Police Chief Kelphie Lundy requested assistance from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office. Following a joint investigation, Jennifer Underwood of Guyton was arrested and charged with the murder of her husband.
“This is a tragic situation, and our thoughts are with the loved ones affected,” Lundy said.
