Help Give an 82-Year-Old Woman a Safe Place to Call Home Again
Miss Peggy

For the past couple of years, 82-year-old Miss Peggy lived in a Rincon home with a tarp-covered roof — damaged when a hurricane sent a tree limb crashing through it. As the roof continued to leak, mold and mildew spread throughout the house, damaging drywall, flooring, and furniture.

Now, Miss Peggy is staying temporarily at Family Promise of Effingham while local contractors work to repair and restore her storm-damaged home.

Leading the effort is Matt Evans, owner of Centaur Home Renovations in Rincon, who is coordinating the renovations. Michael’s Roofing of Meldrim is donating materials and labor to rebuild the roof, which is now being installed.

Evans is asking the community to pitch in and help complete the remaining repairs so Miss Peggy can return to a safe and livable home.

Those interested in helping can contact Evans at 912-504-0464 or matt@centaurpros.com.
