HES fundraisers to be held Nov. 3

Historic Effingham Society’s annual auction fundraiser and spaghetti supper will to be held Nov. 3 in the Family Life Center of the Springfield First Methodist Church.

The silent auction will be held from 5-7 p.m. and the live auction at 7 p.m. There is no admission fee for the auctions.

The spaghetti supper will be held from 5-7 p.m. Advance tickets are for sale. The $8 ticket includes meal and drink. Drinks and desserts also will be for sale.

Tickets are available at the Effingham Museum or from HES members or mail check to P.O. Box 999, Springfield, GA 31329. The last day to mail in checks for tickets is Oct. 26. Advance tickets must be purchased by Oct. 29. Unsold tickets will be available the night of the auction.

The HES is accepting donated items for the auction. The donation deadline is Oct. 26. For more information call the HES office at 754-2170, Monteen Crawford at 754-9957, Susan Exley at 754-6681 or Betty Renfro at 826-4705.

The Family Life Center is at the corner of Pine and Cleveland streets in Springfield.
