Huddle House raising money to boost kids' health

SPRINGFIELD -- Huddle House  is partnering with No Kid Hungry, an organization that focuses on making sure kids are able to eat healthy food through programs such as school breakfast and summer meals. During the same partnership last year, Huddle House raised and donated $40,000 to No Kid Hungry.
Springfield’s Huddle House is encouraging guests to donate $1 or more to become Golden Waffle Sponsors in support of No Kid Hungry. All Golden Waffle will have their names prominently displayed in the restaurant where they donate.

South Effingham High School’s marching band launched its annual band camp on July 7, bringing together more than 120 student performers to prepare for the fall season and a new theme show titled “Parkour.” Under the leadership of veteran Band Director Sean McBride, students train in music, movement and teamwork during intensive nine-hour days that emphasize precision, endurance and camaraderie.
