ATLANTA — U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) announced that his statewide grassroots team for his re-election campaign is now organized in all 159 counties and 13 congressional districts.
Michael King will serve as county coordinator for Effingham County.
“The heart and soul of every political campaign is the grassroots organization and I am honored to have so many hard working Georgians from all over our great state on my re-election team,” Chambliss said. “Our local coordinators will be an invaluable part of my campaign and will be at the core of our voter outreach, community event and fundraising efforts. I look forward to working with each of them in the months ahead.”
Chambliss is seeking re-election for his second term in the Senate. He is the ranking Republican member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry and a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Senate Rules Committee.
Chambliss previously represented Georgia’s 8th congressional district for four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives where he served as the chairman of the House Intelligence Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security.
