The celebration of the safe travels and landing of the Salzburgers at Historic Ebenezer 288 years ago is set March 12.

The event will start with a meet and greet at 11 a.m. Lunch, which will cost $8 and feature rice soup and a side (RSVP 912-754-7001), will be served at 11:30 a.m.

A thanksgiving service will start at 1 p.m.  New Georgia Salzburger Society members will be recognized.

At 2 p.m., Dr. Arlin Migliazzo, a Whitworth College professor, will speak. His talk will focus on the Purrysburg settlement on the Savannah River in South Carolina and its close connection with the settlement at Ebenezer.

Other activities include the Market Platz, craft booths and a petting zoo. In addition, the Salzburger Museum Shoppe will be open.

Landing Day admission is free. Donations will be accepted.
