Meth bust could lead to more arrests

Effingham County Sheriff’s investigators are continuing to follow leads after a two men were arrested late Thursday afternoon and charged with making methamphetamine.


Deputies arrested Michael Linderman, 27, of Bloomingdale, and Mark Anthony Igou, 24, of Bloomingdale and charged them with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of pseudoephedrine, and conspiracy.


According to ECSO reports, deputies uncovered nearly three dozen “one-pot” methamphetamine labs.


“Deputies received information on possible meth labs, and they followed up on it,” said ECSO spokesman Detective David Ehsanipoor. “They made contact with two individuals and searched the residence.”


The ECSO Drug Suppression Unit followed up on information that led them to a Corral Road residence in Bloomingdale. During the search, investigators located 35 meth labs and other items used to manufacture methamphetamine.


Ehsanipoor said the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
