Mighty 8th begins community appreciation rates for area residents

The Mighty 8th Air Force Museum has dedicated June as community appreciation month for Coastal Empire and Low Country residents.

Admission rates are reduced to $5 for adults and $3 for kids, and the rates will be in effect for Effingham County residents from June 22-29.

Residents of Bulloch, McIntosh and Long counties also can take advantage of the reduced rates that week.

This week, the appreciation week admission rates are in effect for Liberty County residents. Residents of Chatham, Jasper, Beaufort and Bryan counties can use the appreciation admission rates June 15-22.

From June 20-21, in honor of Fathers Day, all fathers will receive half off admission.

Friends of Manna House is fundraising in August to renovate the busy food pantry parking lot. The community is invited to shop donated décor and support the project.
