Judge Beth Mosley has announced her bid for re-election as the probate court judge, a position she has held for the past four years.

Mosley has accomplished many goals during her first term as probate court judge. First elected in 2008, Judge Mosley has established a Web site and email, provided a public computer to look up open records, hired a clerk for the front desk, scanned estate files from the 1990s to the present into the computer, and updated the phone systems and answering machine.

An Effingham County native, Mosley is a former teacher and a real estate professional. She is the current president of the Springfield Garden Club and also a member of the Effingham County Drug-Free Organization, the Effingham Historical Society, Farm Bureau, and the former secretary of Habitat for Humanity.

Mosley is also the current director of Probate Judges for District 11 and a certified mentor for incoming judges.

She is married to Danny Mosley. In their spare time they enjoy gardening, fishing and raising cattle.
