South Effingham's softball team smashed New Hampstead 15-0 at New Hampstead on Tuesday.

The Mustangs socked 15 hits and scored in each of four innings, getting eight runs in the final one. 

Georgia Dowling paced the attack with three hits and Cheyenne Miller added two. Hailey Pinette got one hit and three RBI. Rachel Mixon drove in two runs.

ReAnn McCloy was the winning pitcher, logging six strikeouts with one strikeout.

On Wednesday, the Mustangs dropped a 10-4 decision against Statesboro.

Allie Ergle and Pinette collected two hits apiece. Ergle had two RBI.

Miller and Mixon also drove in runs.

The Mustangs are 17-6 overall and 5-2 in Region 2-AAAAA.
