No foul play in mans death Sunday

An autopsy performed on a man found not breathing on Highway 21 near Westwood Drive on Sunday revealed no incidents of foul play, according to authorities.
 
Effingham County Sheriff’s Office spokesman David Ehsanipoor said the autopsy, conducted at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation state crime lab in Savannah, also indicated the man was not struck by a vehicle. The man has been identified as Stephen Walsh, 43, of Guyton.
 
At approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to Highway 21 near Westwood Drive on a report of a man not breathing laying in the roadway. Deputies found the man in the roadway next to a bicycle. 
 
Bystanders on the scene performed CPR until emergency personnel arrived. The man was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
