Mrs. Barbara Ann Crosby Green, age 70, of Blackshear, passed away Jan. 18 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following a short illness. 

Born Dec. 30, 1952, in Waycross, she was a daughter of the late Owen Jackson and Frankie Louise Sheppard Crosby. She grew up in Waycross, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida and lived many years in Rincon before retiring to Black-shear around 2015. She had worked as a bookkeeper and clerk for Citi Trends and had attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Springfield. She was a dog lover who had many throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Green. 

Survi-vors include her two children, Tonya Thompson (husband Brian) of Nahunta and David Crosby of Blackshear; six grandchildren: Teresa Sumner (husband B.J.) of Green Cove Springs, FL, Taton Thompson (wife Sydney) of Jacksonville, FL, Taylor Thompson of Blackshear, Bailey Turner (husband Dillon) of Patterson, Jessica Drawdy (husband David) of Blackshear, and Brennon Thompson of Blackshear; 12 great grandchildren and two expected soon; two step-sons, Randall Green (wife Im) and Tim Green, both of Jacksonville; sister, Donna Ervin (husband Rick) of Jacksonville; nephew, Jason Smith (wife Dawn) of Jacksonville; several great nieces and nephews; and other relatives; and five dogs. 

A funeral service took place in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.  

The family received friends prior to the service.
