Parent University-Spring Session set Saturday

Parent University–Effingham Spring Session will be held Saturday at Effingham County Middle School, 1659 Hwy 119 S., Guyton, GA 31312.

The theme for the Spring Session is “Hoops for Higher Learning.” Larry “Gator” Rivers, well-known to the local extended community, is the guest presenter. His presentation will correspond to the session’s theme,

Rivers was also the guest presenter on April 22, 2017, when athletic banners at Springfield Central High School were unveiled. These banners honored the school’s five championship basketball teams from the late 1950 and 1960s.

Registration, including a nutritious continentatal breakfast, will begin 8 a.m.. It will be followed by the general session at 9 a.m. All sessions will conclude by 1:30 p.m.  

Parent University strives to provide informational sessions that parents, students and the entire community can benefit from. Local vendors will be on hand to provide information on services available to students and their family. 

 Door prizes for adults and children will be drawn during each session and lunch.  

All parents, students and interested parties are welcome to attend the free event.

— Why Your Child Needs to Have A Temperament Analysis – Helping parents have a better understanding of their Children’s behavior. 

— Financial Literacy - Getting Your Child Ready for College
