Possible tornado spotted in Pineora

The National Weather Service in Charleston, S.C., has not confirmed the sighting of what is believed to be a tornado in the Pineora around 10:45 Friday morning.

There also have been reports of tornadoes spotted around Springfield, Guyton and Stillwell, and a tornado that touched down around Springfield did not do any damage, but those reports have not been confirmed.

Effingham County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Richard Bush said no tornadoes had touched down in the county as of 11:40 a.m. 

Central and western Effingham County, including Springfield and Guyton, were put under a tornado warning by the National Weather Service. All of Effingham County is under a tornado watch until 6 p.m.
