Rahn slaps game-winning hit for Rebels

SPRINGFIELD -- Jordan Rahn's RBI-single in the seventh inning lifted the Effingham County Rebels to a 4-3 victory over Glynn Academy on Wednesday. Rahn's hit capped a two-run rally in the Region 2-AAAAAA contest.

JR Lonon ignited the comeback by drawing a leadoff walk. He scored the tying run on a triple by Christian Campbell.

Campbell scored on Rahn's line drive to right field.

Effingham County collected 10 hits. Rahn led the attack with three safeties. Jerid Stokes, Zach Wilson and Cullen Wake each added two.

Avery Elenbaas was the winning pitcher. He worked 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out two. 

The win was the Rebels' 10th in their last 11 outings.
