Guyton City Clerk Debra Scruggs administers the oath of office to Alderman Dr. Brenda Lovett and Mayor Michael Garvin prior to the start of the Jan. 10 Guyton City Council meeting. Lovett and Garvin, along with Les Pevey, did not face any opposition in their re-election bids. Pevey was unable to attend the meeting and will be sworn in to his next term of office at a later date.
