SPRINGFIELD -- Effingham County faces a big task and a big opportunity in the quarterfinal round of the Class AAAAAA volleyball tournament Saturday. The Rebels are seeded last among the remaining eight teams, putting them into the bracket opposite state champion Harrison for an 11 a.m. game at Harrison. Effingham County advanced by whipping Houston County on Tuesday, 25-10, 25-23 and 25-18.
