Rebels romp past Tigers

Effingham County’s softball team wrapped up its regular season at Rebel Field on Saturday by blanking Bradwell Institute 15-0 and 8-0. 

The first contest lasted just three innings. The Rebels, aided by 10 walks, pounded 10 hits and racked up nine RBI.

 Nine Rebels got at least one hit. Caleigh Eubanks was the lone Effingham County player with two.

Jenna Edinger and Morgan Coleman set the RBI pace with a couple apiece. 

Rylee Mills was the winning pitcher. She allowed two hits and fanned seven.

In the second contest, Ava Wingate turned in a stellar mound effort. She limited the Tigers to one hit and struck out six in a four-inning affair.

Morgan Coleman led the way at the plate with two hits and three RBI. Emma Reynolds also had two base knocks.

Enna Lackey, Olivia Morgan, Eubanks and Shelby Aiken knocked in a run.
