Rebels, Tigers to meet with No. 3 seed on the line

BRUNSWICK -- Effingham County's boys basketball team will meet Bradwell Institute at 5 p.m. today at Brunswick High School in the Region 2-AAAAAA tournament.

The winner will earn a No. 3 seed and have to visit the Region 1-AAAAAA runner-up in the state tournament next week. The Rebels and Tigers split their two previous meetings this season.

The Rebels, who beat Glynn Academy 61-48 on Monday to get into the 2-AAAAAA tourney, lost 70-61 to top-seeded Brunswick on Wednesday. The Pirates will host Richmond Hill in the final today at 8 p.m.

In girls region tournament action today, second-seeded Bradwell Institute will take on fourth-seeded Glynn Academy in the final 6:30 p.m. Richmomd Hill and Brunswill will collide for a No. 3 seed at 3:30 p.m.
