American Red Cross Chapters in Savannah Brunswick and Statesboro continue to provide food, shelter, clothing and other emergency assistance to families affected by the tornadoes that swept through Georgia on May 11. Areas with damage include Emanuel, Tattnall, Bulloch, Montgomery, Toombs, Glynn and McIntosh counties.

Emergency response vehicles have been dispatched within the seven county areas to assist disaster action teams already on the ground providing assistance. Red Cross caseworkers continue to meet one-on-one with families and individuals to provide resources to aid in their recovery.

In partnership with Georgia Baptist, hot meals and snacks are being provided to the people affected in the Kite community.
