Referendum results (updates 1-7)
Rincon, Springfield and county residents say yes

UPDATE 7 (10:05 p.m.):

With 22 of the 23 county precincts reporting and city ballots already counted in Rincon and Springfield, liquor by the drink is approved in all three referendums.

The county vote is 7,348 'yes' and 5,018 'no'. The only precinct not reporting is the one made up of provisional ballots. That will be counted tomorrow.  

UPDATE 6 (9:45 p.m.):

With 18 of 23 precincts reporting, Effingham County voters have said yes to liquor by the drink. Reports have 5,644 'yes' votes and 3,761 'no' votes.

UPDATE 5 (9:35 p.m.):

Effingham County update: With 16 precincts reporting there are 4,737 'yes' votes verses 3,156 'no' votes.

UPDATE 4 (9:20 p.m.):

In the liquor by the drink vote in Effingham County, 11 precincts are reporting: 2,605 'yes' votes and 1,874 'no' votes. The measure has already passed in both Rincon and Springfield with results reported earlier tonight. 

UPDATE 3 (9:05 p.m.):

With five county precincts reporting, the vote is 1,447 'yes' and 1,058 'no'. There are a total of 23 precincts in the county.

UPDATE 2 (8:15 p.m.): Springfield votes 'yes'

Springfield has approved liquor by the drink with votes cast today totaling 160 'yes' votes and 102 'no' votes. Officials say that there were 45 absentee and provisional votes cast that have not yet been counted, but that the outcome would remain the same. 

UPDATE 1 (7:55 p.m.): Rincon votes 'yes'

Results are coming in from the liquor by the drink referendum votes. Rincon has approved the measure with 911 'yes' votes verses 380 'no' votes.  Springfield officials are stating that the measure has also passed there but do not have final numbers as of yet. County results are still being counted.
