Rincon library branch to close on Sundays

The Rincon branch of the Live Oak Public Library will close on Sundays, beginning Sept. 6.

“Due to a 5 percent reduction in our budget this year, following three years of flat funding, it is no longer possible to maintain the high level of service that Effingham County residents have come to expect,” said library director Christian Kruse.

Kruse added the Sunday close will remain in effect until further notice.

“We look forward to resuming Sunday hours as soon as our budget permits,” Kruse said. “Thank you for your understanding as we work through this downturn together.”
