The seventh annual Rincon Spring Fair sponsored by the Rincon Recreation Department opened April 5 and continues every day (weather permitting) through April 14 at Freedom Park, 6755 Prosperity Dr. -- between Rincon Chevrolet and Lowe’s on Hwy. 21.
In addition to a variety of rides that will turn you every which way and upside down, there are food booths with cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream, and everything else you’d expect at a carnival – even deep-fried Oreos.
Hours of the fair are 5-11 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 1-11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Gate admission is $7 per person with people under 3 or over 60, free. Ride tickets are $1.25 each, and wristbands for unlimited rides (same day) are $30 at the admission gate.
Entertainment features piggie races, the Fearless Flores Family acrobatics who were on America’s Got Talent in 2023; and the “Banana Derby” (monkeys racing on dogs) April 10-14.
Yes, kiddies, there is also a petting zoo.
