Road closures planned for parade

Highway 21 in Rincon will be closed to through traffic Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon for the annual Rincon Lions Club Christmas Parade.

Northbound traffic flow on Highway 21 will be diverted onto Fort Howard Road to Rincon-Stillwell Road and then onto Highway 275.

The southbound traffic flow will be diverted onto Middleground Road to Blandford Road and then onto S. Carolina Ave to Highway 21.

Law enforcement authorities from the Rincon Police Department will be posted at major intersections. The City of Rincon will place barricades or police officers on Highway 21 at the following intersections: Middleground Road, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 15th and 17th streets and Fort Howard Road.
