Seckinger comes home

The Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta announced that Paul Seckinger was discharged this morning after a six-month stay to recover from serious injuries suffered in the Feb. 7 explosion of the Imperial Sugar refinery in Port Wentworth.

Twenty patients were taken to the burn center after the blast, and two remain there in critical condition. Thirteen have been discharged and five died from their injuries.

Friends of Manna House is fundraising in August to renovate the busy food pantry parking lot. The community is invited to shop donated décor and support the project.
