SPRINGFIELD -- Due to popular demand, a matinee performance has been added at Mars Theatre for "One of These Nights: The Music of the Eagles!"

Tickets for the 3 p.m. show on Feb. 10 are now on sale; $25 floor/$20 balcony seats at marstheatre.com or by calling 754-1118. The 8 p.m. show is completely sold out.

Russ Lanier, a partner at the Statesboro CPA firm Lanier, Deal & Proctor, Benji Thompson of the Development Authority of Bulloch County, Perry Zeigler, Mandy Fowler and Brandi Harvey lead the Eagles Tribute show.

The Dark Desert Highway Band is made up of Mike Crews on bass, Jackie Skinner on lead guitar, Jerry Roberson on keyboard, Duane Borba on percussion and Allen Amason on drums. They provide backup through a two-set show that pulls mostly from the two Eagles greatest hits albums. Expect to hear about 25 songs, including some of Glen Frey’s solo work and some collaborations the Eagles had with Stevie Nicks, Trisha Yearwood and Linda Ronstadt.

This is a brand new show for Lanier and the others. They debuted the show last fall and have most recently played two sold-out performances at the Tybee Post Theatre.

“It was something we talked about for a long time,” Lanier said. “Last year, we decided, all right, we’re going to do it.”

And the transition was made from their longtime Elvis Presley tribute show to performing the music of the Eagles.

“It’s a lot of fun,” Lanier said. “We all enjoy it, the band and the people who attend our shows. We keep it very simple. It’s an Eagles greatest hits band … We try to keep the sound very close. The styles, we do them exactly like they do.

"If we had the chance, this is what all of us would do every day!”
