Shelters to open for Hurricane Irma relief

Three safe shelters are set to open in Guyton for those in need of refuge from Hurricane Irma.

Liberty Christian Church, 302 Church St., and Sand Hill Baptist Church, 1936 Sand Hill Road, will open Sunday at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.

The Elam Egypt Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 184 Fifth St.,  will open Monday at 8 a.m.

Participants must bring their own food, water, toiletries and blankets.
