Sheriff's office probing teen's death

SPRINGFIELD -- The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death. 

On Saturday  just before 10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Green Morgan School Road after receiving a call of about shooting. Upon arriving, deputies discovered a 13 year-old male unresponsive inside the residence. 

Every unnatural death is investigated as a homicide until the cause has been determined.
