Katie Rietkovich's name is scattered throughout South Effingham's softball record book. Now it adorns the Mustangs' outfield fence, too.

South Effingham honored one of its most productive players of all time on Aug. 29 by retiring her jersey before a game against New Hampstead. Her No. 12 now hangs in right field next to the No. 0 worn by Alexis Morris, the only other Mustang to have her jersey retired.

See the Sept. 6 edition of the Effingham Herald for more details.
