SPRINGFIELD -- Live Oak Public Libraries invites the public to an Open House celebrating 30 years of service to the community at the Springfield Library, May 24, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Drop in for crafts, activities, snacks, and a walk down memory lane.

The Springfield Library opened in May, 1995. Thirty years later, more than 10,000 patrons hold library cards and more than 42,000 physical materials have been checked out.

The Springfield Library is located at 810 Hwy 119 S., Springfield.

 

Summer Reading Challenge and free lunches for kids

LOPL invites readers of all ages to join its Summer Reading Challenge from June 1-July 31. Sign up on the library website at: bit.ly/3ZilNY8. Readers of all ages can enter for prize drawings including iPads and more!

Starting June 2 and running through July 25, the Springfield Library will serve free lunches to children up to age 18 in partnership with Second Harvest. Lunches will be service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, except June 19 and July 4.
