State DOT to hold open house on I-16 work

The state Department of Transportation will hold a public information open house June 28 at Garden City City Hall, 100 Central Ave., from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. regarding the interchange reconstruction at the Interstate 16 and 95 interchange and on I-16 from I-95 to I-516.

Planned improvements include additional lanes along I-16.

The purpose of this location and public information open house is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the project, ask questions, and comment on the project.

There will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be available to allow the public an opportunity to make verbal comments about the project.

Written statements will be accepted concerning this project until July 13. Written statements may be submitted to:

The displays at the public hearing open house will be available for 10 days for review after the open house at Georgia DOT’s District 5 Area Office at 630 West Boundary St. in Savannah.
