SAVANNAH —The Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Department at Savannah Technical College will hold a “hospitality casting call” on June 23 at 9 a.m. in the Eckburg Auditorium at the White Bluff Campus. Interviews will be conducted for admission into the STC’s hospitality customer service provider certificate program. Upon successful completion of the 10-week program, students will be given an opportunity to interview with some of Savannah’s largest hospitality employers.

The “hospitality casting call” will begin with a brief overview of the program. Application assistance and financial aid assistance will be available. Applicants are asked to arrive promptly at 9 a.m. and to be ready to interview for admission into the program. A high school diploma or GED is required to apply.

The certificate program was designed with assistance from the Savannah Area Tourism Leadership Council and other hospitality industry leaders.
Students will be exposed to business etiquette and communication through classroom instruction and on-the-job-training; Spanish for the hospitality industry also will be taught as a part of the 18-credit-hour curriculum. Classes are held Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-noon.
